A half gallon of ice cream won't make it to the next day at our house.

At Chez Partay there are usually more socks and underwear folded in a basket on the dryer than there are in the drawers they're supposed to be in.

The proper response to the statement that an acquaintance (not family member or close friend) has died is "I guess they're not doing too well."
example:
"Buddy Ebsen died."
"Yeah, I guess he's not doing too well."
This could also be followed by:
"he was only 95."
"I wonder what was wrong. why would someone die so young like that?"
death can be a funny subject in my family

Sometimes between trash pick up days the trash can stays around the side of the house and not the garage.

Sometimes our "living room" area looks more like some sort of baby toy storage area, that has just been hit by a tornado that had previously visited "Laundry Mountain".

Ditto the socks and underwear. Also, there is a basket of clothes (clean, anyway) in the dining room). No one really knows why.
On any given day there areat least three boxes of partially eaten carryout food in the refrigerator.

No, they don't like milk. They eat the yogurt.
