any doubts, I am certified EE (kidding about the certified part Mr. Green....) Remember only AC (power lines) gives you a shock not DC, batteries, rectified... but of course if you tap off of a circuit then... TMI?). And as g-dawg said AC/DC is not just the band

Obliviously, you have never touched the DC bus on a 60 HP Variable Frequency Drive. Or grabed the leads of a large capacitor... Voltage is voltage my friend and it can all hurt you.

Edited: because Obliviously I don't know how to spell.

When I was a kid I had a way cool flashlight/screwdriver my grandpappy gave me. It was a flashlight, and a screwdriver. Mr. Green

Lying in bed one night, I decided I knew all about electricity. Hey, I had a cool tool, right? So, I unscrewed the lightbulb from the bedside lamp b/c I was going to 'operate' on the lamp...
I stuck the screwdriver in the socket and started my work when, BLAM!! A very loud pop emitted from my lamp, my little flashlight went sailing out of my hand across the room, a breaker flipped, and my spiderman pillow caught on fire and started to smolder. (Not to mention my girlie-boy shriek.)

So hey, if you need any help.... Dancing Banana
