My dryer has been out of commission for several months now. It was turning the basket and blowing air, but not heating. I had been putting it off because I had a clothes line outside and a free dryer at a friend's house and because I'm lazy, but today I took it apart and there's a threaded connector to the heating coils that is broken. It's probably a 20 cent part. This thing is probably 15 years old, I'd say that's pretty cheap maintenance.

Troof! Most of the parts that break on dryers are pretty cheap.

So you go to the Sears Appliance repair center (or call if no one near) tell them the model and brand you get new part and you replace.

In our case, the dryer was so old (26 years) they had no replacement parts. Man they just don't make em like they used to.

I'm thinking any electrical or hardware store will have this part. I don't know what you'd call it, but it's pretty much a double threaded contact screw with a square midsection. If I can't find this, I'll get someone in LSU machine shop to make it for me.
