Three times in the last couple of weeks I was shifting away and suddenly WACK my chain just jumped ship!

Is this my bike's subtle way of telling me I'm doing too many miles?

I'm assuming you mean that it came off one of the chain rings. That's a front derailler adjustment.

Yeah chain just jumped ship on me. Thought I found a new gear... easiest one ever... but MAN was I slow!
