A quote from Cris Murphy, a guy who writes a movie (sort of) column on 411mania.com. Granted, his job is one that any one of us could do, but he has a good perspective on this.

Cris Murphy wrote:
Some people just need to grow up and take some responsibility for their viewing habits. It’s 9 pm EST when MNF airs. It’s the same time slot that “Despirate Housewives” airs on ABC, yet that show is much raunchier than what was presented. I still get wood thinking about what Sheridan did washing her car…over and over and over and over.

Nothing was exposed except bare back. You couldn’t even see the sides of her boobies. It was tame. Now, if ABC wants to apologize, they should apologize for making a nation see Dennis Franz’s a$$ on NYPD Blue.

I don't understand why there's all this moral implication. So the network tried to cross the audience to a new show by tying it into another show and it flopped. What's the big deal?

I agree with your last sentence - but what moral implication are you referring to in the first??

I found no offense in it - but people have every right to complain if they want. There's no reason they shouldn't voice their opinion if they're offended-even if a small but vocal minority. It's ABC's problem to decide on how to handle it. If most of their viewers are supportive or don't care, then they'll probably side with them.

OK, I'll just say it. Am I the only person who thinks at least a part of the 'controversy' wouldn't have occurred if it was a white football player or a black actress? Confused

when in reality they're using that excuse as a substitute for what really bothered them about it

Indeed, Sir.

Didn't pick up on that at first reading. Yeah, I don't care what people say, interracial relationships (or sex, moreso) are still a big taboo in this country--chief among them black men and white women.

If you can't find a woodchuck, maybe there's a beaver nearby you could ask instead...

Someone is a marketing genius. The nation is still talking about it on Wednesday. Brilliant.

I think it would have been historically more accurate to have TO spying on Nicolette from the Eagles locker room in his Niners jersey.

I saw it and I thought it was kind of funny. I Have heard that some thought it was kind of racist but I didn't think of it that way at all.t. Maybe when the kids get older and might stay up that light then I might worry about it.
