By myself: Fargo to Oregon, Seattle to Fargo and back (a couple times, and I loved it). Those were with overnight stops. I also drove to the East coast by myself when I moved here. I love driving by myself!

With a partner, the farthest in one day was Seattle to Miles City, MT. Long day.

The longest I drove in a day was from SW Minnesota to Bloomington, Ill. So...across MN, through WI, and through a good chunk of Illinois. It took forever and my eyes were so tired that I was "crying" when I pulled up to the hotel.

This one felt the longest...Cape Cod to Chapel HIll, NC with hubby, four kids, five cats. Arrived at new apartment with all furniture in a jumble where the movers dumped it. eek!

Manhattan Beach, CA to Herndon, VA, for a flying job.

I've done lots of these. I did Manhattan Beach, CA to Pensacola, FL (Aviation Officer Candidate School and Flight School); Pensacola, FL to San Diego, CA(first duty station); San Diego, CA to Corpus Christi, TX (to go be an instructor pilot); Corpus Christi, TX back to Manhattan Beach, CA (to go be a civilian again).

Herdon, VA to St. Louis, MO (another flying job) was easy. My last big drive was St. Louis, MO to San Diego, CA, to go back in the Navy.

I don't have to do any big drives for at least another three years! Yay! My next duty station is just across the bay from my current one, and an even shorter drive.

Farthest Solo: Baton Rouge, LA - Lubbock, TX 11.5 hours (~780 mi)
Farthest Teamwork: Baton Rouge, LA - Columbus, OH 15-17 hours? Don't remember? lol? (??? miles)

OR Baton Rouge - Orlando, FL and back. 11 hours each way. You could really count this, because we only stayed in Orlando for about 6 hours before returning home. I drove about 6 hours on the way there, and 10:45 on the way back.

I'm a driving machine... I love it. I can't wait to go on a road trip around the US. My sis did it 2 summers ago. 11,000 miles in 3 weeks. I hope to make mine at least 15,000. Care to donate a place to stay or gas money? LOL I'll make a post in a year when I know the dates.

My longest solo drive is probably my trip from Iowa to Purdue. A group of us left Purdue at 9pm Friday night. Drove all night to Iowa. I did 4-6 hours of the driving and got 1 hour of sleep. We got there at 6:30am and did a duathlon (my first) at 8am. We hung out in Ames, Iowa for a couple hours and then drove home. I slept the first hour, then took over. The last 6-7 hours were driving in the rain, at night, with the other 2 in the group asleep. That's why I call it a solo drive for the drive home.
