Yeesh....some people just nevah learn! Confused

The roomie and I went to a housewarming at our old neighbors' new place, these were our favorite partying buds, part of the Friday Happy Hour crowd and have been mucho missed since they moved two months ago. Fortunately they are only about 7 minutes away.....

All was going well til someone brought out a bottle of Black Haus--blackberry schnapps, I think it's made by the same people who make Rumple Minze...yikers!!! Shocked Note to self: when someone pulls out the shotglasses, make like a banana and SPLIT!

I have felt like absolute POO all day and consequently am going to get nothing done short of the laundry I forced myself to put in an hour ago. I swear, ever since I had those liver issues in March I can't drink for crap anymore. This Ireland trip ought to be realllllly interesting.

Alot of my college buddies get drunk basically almost every weekend at parties/nightclubs. I just don't understand the fun in drinking. First of all I hate the taste and the smell of alcohol, secondly hangovers and getting wasted don't seem like fun to me at all, and thirdly, you're harming your body over the long term.

I hear that (or, i heard that). I didn't drink, either. I had a couple of experience with alcohol before i turned 21 and coupled with me later learning that my father is an alcoholic, it made me not want to drink and see no real positives in the activity.

You are wise beyond your years, grasshopper. All of what you say is true, and although I gave up the every weekend thing a while ago, I haven't quite managed moderation on the few occasions when I do have a few..... Confused

best thing for that hangover genie is a good long run...just make sure you've hydrated yourself well before heading out the door.

I don't tie one on very often anymore, but we had one helluva partay a couple months ago. Stef and I started drinking on a Saturday at 430, the men joined us around 11pm, and we stopped drinking at 6am. We were very surprised that the neighbors didn't call the po po. I mean, 4 drunken singers on the deck... it was quite fubby.

We got up at 10am and started again... although I just had *some* of the hair of the dog that beat the holy sh*t out of me... Stef however... that girl can drink. and drink. and drink. Smile

I wasn't myself again until Tuesday afternoon. It was vodka. Lots of vodka.

Hope you're feeling better! too bad I'm sure you are hydrating now. That does wonders for my hangover, just drinking a ton of water and taking some ibuprofen.

Oh, definitely.....Gatorade is my sure cure for a hangover. I wish I could take a nice long run, but long is relative for me these days. Sad That never worked well for me anyway, I couldn't make it that far. A lot of Gatorade, and some of my favorite tea and raisin bread toast and I am getting there....

I was never much of a drinker anyway, either. I recently figured out that I really like vodka. And I recently figured out that my body doesn't like me having vodka. oh well. dunno

i never really drank untill after i turned 21... my dad drank alot when i was a kid and i was afraid of becoming like him if i drank. i didnt even like for the bf to drink. period.

but that was the "old" me, now im a bit more relaxed and i know that i can handle it in moderation. i hadrly ever go out with the intention to get drunk...plus i dont drink beer and liquor is expensive so i cant afford to get drunk every weekend.

Drinking isn't bad. Drinking bad crap is.

Someone brought over a bottle of the Black Haus two summers ago. It remains unopened as that is nas-ty. I shall send it to you. Twisted Evil
