Ever had a birthday that you just dreaded? Maybe turning the big 4-0? Or the medium 3-0?

Nope. With age comes wisdom, experience, and more money to do the things you like to do. I even threw myself a 30th birthday party because I knew no one could make it as grandiose as I could. I can't wait to hit 40 in a bunch of years!

No, turning 30 was no big deal. I don't remember much about turning 40--I was in the hospital and loaded to the gills with demoral. A party was held two weeks later, but I was just sort of happy to be there.

I love all my birthdays. I turn 35 soon and am looking forward to it. The way I see it - I will always be younger than my hubby. He turns 40 this year and I think he's having a tough time with it. He wants to go to Vermont the week of his birthday to pretend it isn't happening. Like birthdays don't happen while you're in Vermont...right.

30 was nothing
35 I'm looking forward to, easier to get to Boston
40 I'm a little afraid of.

Birthdays haven't been traumatic I kind of pretend they bother me... maybe I like the attention. The big fouroh is only a few months away, almost exactly a few months away actually, and I'm thinking like elkid right now. No one will throw me as good a party as I could so maybe I'll just do it.

35 was the worst but again not traumatic, at least I feigned it was the worse. You know, at 35 you hit a new demographic and therefore no one cares about your opinion anymore (except maybe pharmaceutical companies who know you're getting OLD).

Looked forward to 30, 35 didn't bother me, but as I am rapidly approaching 36, I feel middle age coming on. I wouldn't say I'm dreading it, but for some reason this number has me a bit spooked.

My exact thinking of turning 35. I get 5 more minutes to qualify!
