Posted: 04/05/05 - 18:54 Post subject: Doo doo question
Yes, you heard me right. I have a "doo doo" question. Yesterday I was pruning things in my yard to make it look all pretty for spring and when I went to put some tools away in my "shed" I found this "interesting" doo doo. The "shed" is really just a corner of my patio with some tarp thrown over it (yes, it is one of the projects we will get to this summer) and there is a place where animals can get in. So, my question is what kind of animal would leave doo doo that looks almost human? It's probably not a dog (although it looks similar to what a dog would leave behind) because dogs have to be on leashes around here. It's not a squirrel or something like that because they leave little "pellets" behind. So, what the heck is coming on to my patio and leaving their freakin' messes???????????
Clues? Anyone? Anyone?

Well...
The closest looking to human is a Bear.
I will look for my Peterson's Guide and see if I can get a better answer for ya.

Um...please do that, will ya?
BEAR??????????? OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somehow I don't think it would be a bear, though. There are a million places a bear can poop and I don't think it would go to all the trouble to get on my patio to do it. At least I hope not.

We don't have anything on our patio to attract them. We just moved in October so there is nothing fancy down there and our trash is on the upper deck.

I've never seen a "gift" like this coming from him before. And, trust me, this boy does NOT poop in public!!!!!!!! He will hold it until he dies before he poops anywhere but his own toilet!

Oppossum or raccoon droppings look similar to a dog depending on their diet. If it's got fur in it keep your pets inside because you have a coyote prowling the neighborhood.
