help you work better, or at least get in the mood to get busy? Can you listen to music at work?

"I was told that I could listen to the radio at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven, I told bill that if Sandra is going to listen to her headphones while she's filing then I should be able to listen to the radio while I'm collating so I don't see why I should have to turn down the radio because I enjoy listening at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven."

Nice thread. This reminded me that I listened to RATM last night while doing homework and it is still in my cd player. Please excuse me while I go jam some angry white boy music.

On the rare days I don't interview, I bring in my CDs and play 'em. When I am on the phone, I have the radio in the background. Usually playing classical music because the other stations seem to have more commercials than music, and many of them have their commercial blocks at the same time. burning mad

I listen to music at work all the time. very often I make the music myself, or help children make music. so yeah, i guess you could say listening to music helps me get the job done. Mr. Green

As long as it's not Steve Earle.....that might make you want to drink, be rebellious and tell the boss to shove it.....

no music allowed at work, they even pull (or never installed) the sound cards out of the PC's Sad

I find it helps me focus more though and gets me busy limiting my distractions.

I can't listen to music at a reasonable level it like to to block out EVERYTHING that might distract me.
