The dumbbells are on a rack in pairs beginning with 5 lbs. and ending with 100 lbs. Is this so hard to follow, really? 
Bunch o friggin' dumbells in here today.

But I like to do descending sets of 1 arm curls. So I just take a few different weights.

I'm thinking you should institute something more esoteric.
For example:
5, 30, 55, 80, 10, 35, 60, 85, 15, 40, 65, 90, 20, 45, 70, 95, 25, 50, 75, 100

Not bad.
I'd just throw 'em all in a giant box and cut a hole in the side. Instruct the person to stick their hand in the hole, and they can only pull out and work with the first weight they touch. No exceptions.

For the edification of the mathematically challenged what is the Fibonacci sequence? i.e. what is the pattern ? Who is Fibonacci and what is he to Hecuba ?
