Heavy, what happened to you? |
My Grandfather's death certificate was wrong, as far as my Dad knew. My parents were discussing chaging it with my Aunt and Uncle. I was sitting on the couch in the LR.
There were two little porcelain trinkety things that my Mom had on the window sill. They'd been there since we'd moved into the house several years before. The windows were closed. There was no cross breeze or fan.
When my Dad said that he was definitely going to follow up on changing the certificate. Those things flew off the sill, bounced off the couch, landed on the Coffee table, and landed on the floor. Unbroken.
Puzzled, I put them back.
My Aunt or Uncle (I forget which) argued against it (as Devil's Advocate), and my father said again a few minutes later that he would definitely change it. They flew off the sill again, over the couch landed hard on the coffee table and bounced onto the floor again. Unbroken.
My father changed his mind, and decided not to persue changing the certificate after that.

I also wanted to mention that I was born on Halloween 1973 "All Hallows Eve" and my dad's dad died on November 1 "All Saints Day" 1973. I've had sightings of him all my life as well as have been interested in the things he liked without ever knowing about them.

I have a few things to mention:
1. Jenn - you need to have your house inspected for bugs
2. I'm glad I am reading this in the morning and not right before I went to bed last night! You guys are FREAKING.ME.OUT!!!

I'm all goosebumpy now, Jenn.
I think I've heard too many stories like yours not to believe in spirits. I do think I saw my step-mother not long after she died, she was floating above me one night and I woke up and saw her. Scared me to death. I'm also certain I saw what I thought was an angel at the time, one night at church, during the Christmas program.

Wow! Jenn, that is one freaky story. If I was your husband I would have had a coronary.
My son keeps asking these questions now that Halloween is so close. "are ghosts real dad? are vampires? witches? skeletons? etc.."
I don't think I'll tell him your story.

Nothing to freak about, b/c the vision of Granpa that Jenn is talking about isn't malevolent. I think it would be cool to have a spirit in the house, especially one that was a beloved family member.

As long as they aren't mean ghosts... I think it would be neat.

As long as they didn't eat much and use up all the hot water, I'd be cool with that.

Not to start a thread war here, but I think its pretty arrogant to dismiss something like ghosts out of hand.
We just don't know.
I've had enough experiences in my life, what could be called spiritual and/or religious ones, that I definitely think there are things that we just don't understand or really comprehend.

I think I would know it if I had a ghost IN my hand!

So did your hand ever do something it shouldn't have done? Something seemingly out of character?!!
Better wash that sucker in some Holy Water, Bud!!!!!
