I'm revisiting this thread and pulling it back up. I no longer can say that I can run when I'm extremely sad. I get slower or I just plain give up. I've been to the point in the last few runs where there was nothing I could do to reach my goals that I had set. I'll get to the nearest mile and quit. I cannot do a single thing to mentally get through it. I simply shake my head, take the headphones off and jump off the treadmill. That's it. I'm done and "spent". What a crappy feeling it is. First, to not meet my goals for running set for the day is such a let down. I hate that. Second, to have your emotions take over you to where you cannot get a grip...it's extremely depressing. Not even your run can pound away your problems.

I know that I bumped this topic up from a while back, but I wanted to change my opinion on this subject (everything I said before is null and void). It's really been something I've been experiencing this week. Tonight's run was the absolute worst! Neutral
