Distance runs near Philadelphia

I have just moved to Philly. I am 35 and like to run. NYC Marathon as well as the NJ State Triathlon are my goals! I am just getting back into running after taking a few months off. I would like to train and race here. Are there any distance runs near Philadelphia?

You have just missed one. There was Philadelphia half marathon held on 16th of September. It was a good 21 K / 13.1 M race. Kenya’s Julius Kibet and Pamela Chepchumba won the 30th annual Philadelphia Distance Run Half Marathon on Sunday. But don’t worry there are other runs so you won’t be deprived of your share of races.
