The Difference Between The Liberal and Conservative "Debate" Over The War On
Terrorism:
Question: You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small
children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around
the corner and is running at you while screaming
obscenities. In your hand is a .357 Magnum and you are an expert shot. You
have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?
Liberal Answer:
Well that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look
poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that is inspiring him to
attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think?
What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock
the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Is it
possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he
definitely want to kill me or would he just be content to wound me? If I
were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was
stabbing me? This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some
friends for a few days to try to come to a conclusion.
Conservative Answer:
B A N G

Just don't do it in Texas or FLA (or anywhere else in the US now that W is in control). Your fellow conservatives will fry you more quickly than you can say " I can't conjugate verbs properly". Unless of course, you have enough money to buy your way out (donate a library or something)

That's an interesting answer, considering that the Democratic Party, for the most part, is made up of the ultra-rich (11 of the 12 richest men in the Senate are Democrats) who obviously don't care if they get taxed because they can afford to pay a good accountant to find loopholes for them) and the ultra-poor, who are the ones getting our hard earned middle class money which the Democrats seem so willing to steal. Conversely, the Republicans are mostly small business people and the average Joe (or Cappy ). How does each party raise their money, you ask?? In the last election, 90% of the Democrats' money came from very rich people, including those in Hollyweird, whereas the majority of Republican contributions were, singly, under $200 apiece, and those donations in total actually surpassed all the millions that the fat cats in Hollywood contributed. I realize your big beef with W is that you think he got a better education than most of us because his daddy "bought" him into a better school than we could afford, but there are enough student loan programs out there that if you really wanted to go to Yale or Harvard, you could have--of course, you'd have to pay the money back, but at least you'd get in. If you were looking for a free ride, then unfortunately because of the liberals, you'd have to be dirt poor.
BTW, B was the correct answer!

Couldn't you just wing him to slow him down and if he continues you know that he has bad intentions and then shoot again.
Though I guess with a 357, winging someone might not be the easiest thing.
Or could you call "Cut" and they could get your stunt double and stunt family to step in.

Heck, I'm a Texan, and surely you know we all carry guns, and are sworn to use them whenever the opportunity presents itself. (And we don't fry people...we use the needle!)

I did steal Hobbes. My apologies!! (he's also my screensaver and wallpaper) I have yet to have the pleasure of meeting Brian, although we live very close to each other. We're trying to get together for a run, and hopefully we're going to do a half in the next few months. Thanks for the welcome!

Cool!! I thought I remembered there was someone else from CR that lived near him, I know there wasn't anyone for a while and he was thrilled when you came. He and Jess are really nice, I haven't met them yet either but we've chatted a lot in the past.
We gotta get a TX event going now, there are a lot of you down there, although pretty spread out I think. I need a good excuse to travel south this fall.....
