I'm more confused on how immortality was taken away from humankind due to their evilness.........and now immortality by our modern concepts (werewolves, witches, vampires, etc)= evil. I can understand that the concept of time is different throught the ages. But the concept of immortality did a complete switercerooo

God knows the beginning from the end. He knew sin was going to happen. That's the great controversy and the premise of our existance as a demonstration of choice between good and evil. Being immortal was the short-lived proposition so to speak and getting back eternal life is the crux of it all.

If I had say, the fictitious immortality of werewolves, witches and such is a bastage of precious eternal life by evil influences to degrade and devalue what should be all important and precious.

I don't know of very many persons, whether believers or non-believers who have denied the existence of a flood large enough to create the story(ies) of both Noah's Ark and/or the story of Gilgamesh What makes many people question the existence or practice of a God, Allah or other diety is the actions of the members of those faiths.

The things done in the name of God, Christ, Allah is what makes many of us doubt the existence of a God, from whichever religious group someone is coming from. While parts of the Bible have historical accuracies as does Homer and the Illiad, that does not make it a true reference for all groups. Especially those who suffer at the hands of Christians, Jews, Muslims or other groups because God, Allah or whomever created them different even though in the image of God, Allah or whomever.

Eric Rudolph considers himself a fine Christian. And there are many Christians even in this country who agree with him. It is things like that and not the physical artifacts that cause many to question belief in a God.

God's days may very well be different than our days. It's kinda like dog years. One God day may have been a million years...or a billion.

We are imperfect beings, we are all less than he imagined. He imagined and created two perfect people, who blew it. It changed life as we know it. Before the disobeyance, there was no need or want for anything. God provided everything.

God seems to have the terrible habit of using ghost writers for books which are full of ambiguities and are open to a wide variety of interpretations

Such as?

I used to be concerned about others' faith and used to condemn people as hypocrites that were in the church. But the truth of the matter is I had to search on my own and know in my heart, by faith, that I believe in Christ because He died on the cross for me. I couldn't worry about other's less-than-perfect life.

How do you square this with the Great Commission?

What I am saying is that I can't make the choice to be for or against God just because of the way others who believe in God act.
