I always consider MN, MI, WI central. I guess, because I reside in one of those states, it is easier for me see disparity. I believe my very own small community of 20,000 was 51% vs 49%. You probably think that we are provinces |
The Upper Midwest has always had its own political vibe that was more in tune with the industrial NE than say the Rockies and flatlands. I like that part of the country very much and didn't mean to exclude you from blue-stateness, per se.
Now, if only Ohio could have. . . Oh, forget it!!!!

I could see that, too. Though I think they'll go outside the Beltway next time unless they have a real hot commodity in DC.

unfornuately, that's the way I see it. I say it's unfornuate, because it's just a way to beat the Repubs, not putting the "best" one in. With this thinking, we'll have a two parties for a verrrrrrry long time. Who knows, maybe they'll look toward IL, and maybe get the vote from those tired of the rich, white, man, in office.

He comes off as a very smart, astute guy from what I've seen in interviews. Almost like a liberal version of some of the posters here. He definitely sounds like a likeable politician - but, a lot of politicians are smart and likeable and they also happen to have terrible political views, so what's the big deal with this guy?

he makes everything sound good? makes interesting promises? I gotta like the free college for ALL "B" students. If I were a high school teacher, I'd be thinking career change or retirement, if that promise became true.
