RTPD did very well
we won outright one of the 5 events
The event I was in, the anchor leg of the push up, sit up 1.5 mile run was awesome.

When I was tagged, we were in second place. I picked off the first runner in about 2 minutes up hill. I actually lead the race for about 6 minutes. I have never ever run from the front before.
With one minute to go I was out of gas and got passed by two other guys.

Here is the best part. For my mile and a half hilly cross country course run, I ran a 909. I ran an all time pr for the mile of 530 (better than my high school best by 38 seconds Shocked .)

The guy who was supposed to run said he could run in about 1030, which is what I planned to run it in.
I could not believe my time. I am still huffing and am completely exhausted. I ran the race of my life today.

The team was most impressed with my effort.
Let me say, when I finished the first of two laps, and was winning, I could really get used to all that applause.

Going into the race I was picked as the runner to watch by everyone. People on my team were talking me up and I said, yo easy I am not that good. Well I even surprised myself today.

Unfortunately the competition went long and I am now in the dog house because we were supposed to go to a picnic and now cannot go. Robin is furious at me. So I hope RR can enjoy my victory because here at home no one is Sad

Great run and what a fantastic time. I'm sure Robin won't stay mad for long.

Just got the results.
5th place out of 15 teams.

We finished last in two competitions. Sad

But it was a great effort. Overall we are pleased.
One event I am not happy that they had was a doughnut eating contest. It should not be in an athletic competition.

The red cars. Ridley Twp.
Ridley and Radnor were the two favorites.

One advantage I had was that the xc course was on our old xc course for HS xc meets so I knew the terrain. I pre ran the course and really had a feel for it. I even told the other runners about the course before hand and what to expect.
