Posted: 03/25/04 - 20:30 Post subject: Dear Riverview Music Teacher
Your professionalism and grace under pressure are your shining assets as evidenced by the 3-5 grade concert tonight.
Your patience was tested time and again this evening and we appreciate it! Thank you for looking the other way when that third grade boy showed up in ripped jeans and a sweatshirt because his mother had forgotten the concert until they were driving by on their way home from the movie store.
Furthermore, thank you again for your patience when said child preferred to stand three feet away from everyone else and chose not to sing, but to stare out at the audience with a look that would have turned back the locusts.
And again for your gracious smile when the mother of said third grader accidently shut off the lights in the gym by leaning on the switches during the intro to the second song.
By the way, did the set just above the stage ever come back on? I hope so...
Anyway, thanks again...
Flaky Third Grade Mom

I love it. Third grade boys who are pistols remain pistols thru 12th grade. The only thing that calmed my son down and kept him out of trouble was acquiring a steady girlfriend his junior year.

Some teachers have the patience of Job. This one has to be a saint.

Bless your heart.
I mean that in the warm, comforting sense and not the "you stupid idiot" sense.
