I didn't exactly know which forum to post this in but I thought this was the probably the best choice.
This fall semester I'm doing an internship out in DC, and as I'm currently trying to pack, I'm wondering how much of my running garb I need to bring. How cold does it get??? I'll be in DC until the middle of December. Do I need my fleece lined tights and thermal base layers?
Thanks

You probably won't need your fleece-lined tights or thermal layers. Those aren't "typically" needed until around Jan-Feb...unless we have an unusually cold December. Of course, much of that depends on your body, too. Where are you coming from? If you are coming from a warmer climate you might get colder than I would living in DC since '96.
Hope that helps.

Currently I'm at home right on the "nose" of Iowa, but when I'm at college I'm almost right on the Minnesota/Iowa border. This past year I ran a few times in January/February at night. If I remember right the temp reading at a bank I ran past once said 15 F.
Sounds like I might just pack my normal tights, and one or two of my cold weather base layers for DC.
Thanks!
