All I know is it's a Motorola, I have no idea what model cuz it's a couple years old and most decidedly NOT a flip phone.
I.HATE.FLIP.PHONES.
Oh, and it's silver but now I want a pink one.

so what you're saying is that, essentially, you're the *least* coolest person here?

I probably have the same one. I have the most basic phone there is. You know how sometimes you get a free phone when you sign up for a contract? They paid me to take this phone. |
Yeah, thats the one.
Blue I don't have any other phone, so my cell phone is the only way to find me.

i have this piece. it's so like, cool, to flip it open and then disconnect the incoming calls cuz, like i have no clue how to answer calls but i look completely cool with it.
and if someone doesn't tell me how to get that ONE NEW MESSAGE icon off the bleepin' display soon, i'm gonna hurl it off the top of the mall parking deck and watch it smash to pieces on the ground below.
i'll be upgrading to a pink razor soon.

I have a blue and silver LG (unknown model) flip.
I have a love/hate relationship with my phone. I don't envision upgrading anytime soon unless the display totally goes out (it's half out now). If that happens, I'll go back to the original Samsung flip my brother got in like 2000.

Here's a funny story, One of our co-worker was getting a bill for long distance calls in her local area. She disputed the bill and it was take off.
One month later she gets another bill for the same long distance charges to the same location (calling her son). Finally she took her phone in to dipute the bill. The lady took one look at the phone and said "Miss your phone is so old the software thinks you are making a long distance call.
Needless to say......she was given an upgrade on her phone.

I have an LG, and when I get a new message, it gives me the option of ignoring it. You may just have to listen to the message. ?? Tried that yet?
As far as disconnecting when you flip the phone, I think you need to turn "auto answer" off. In mine, this is in the Settings menu (#9 in the main menu) and then under the "call setup" option. This way, when the phone rings, you actually have to push the "send" button to answer the call.
HTH. Every phone is a little bit different, so hard to tell you just what to do without having the phone in my hand.
Oh, and RTFM. I almost always do that with our new phones so I can not only look cool, but BE cool.
