I'm at a loss/unsure of my ideas. Help, oh mins and wimmins of riff raff.
Okay, first for the mins. Say you are retired, in your mid 60s and are cold natured despite living in a tropical climate. Would you wear this (note the quilted shoulders, my primary area of concern)? Also look at it in Red where its not as visible. If not, would you prefer this?
Next, you're spoiled rotten 11 and 7 y/o girl/boy who gets every everything on demand from guilt ridden father. Would you just love a $10 gift certificate each from blockbuster and some candy and popcorn? Especially since I think Santa is bringing at least one gameboy?
Third, you're a 3 year old girl going on 17 who has a better sense of fashion already than I do who has an obsession with Dora the Explorer and horses. You want ...? paging pokychick....paging pokychick...what does your avatar want...

Yeah, that is what I got her for her birthday...but good suggestion!!
Last year I got her a little kitchen set with pots and pans and it was a HUGE hit. Hard to top though.

I think for the 11 y/o and 7 y/o a Toys-r-us gift certificate would be better--there are a bazillion things a kid could buy for $10.
Heck, I would love a gift certificate to Toys-R-Us for $10. I think you can buy them online, too!!!
If they are getting gameboys, they can use the certificates at Toys-r-us for equipment for their gameboys. (like cases, lights, etc.)

Linens and Things (or bed bath and beyond me) has a little-girl sized real baking set. Rolling pins and everything. I don't remember the price, but it was really neat.

You know, for most children I would agree. They are just so rotten though I don't know. At least with blockbuster my sister or their dad could use it on a weekend night or whatever. But with TRU I can see I'll get shafted with this duty of taking them to pick out said toy(s) and then they'll ask me for more money because what they really want is $40, duh, [whineyvoicefromhell]noooothiiinnng is $10, that all suuuuuckkkssss[/whineyvoicefromhell] and then when I cave and give them each $5 more they get a toy they hate and/or break and never play with again. can you tell that every year I seriously debate not giving them anything?

Wowza! Tough crowd! How about Barnes and Noble? Or the dollar store?
Blockbuster is good--then you are limited as to how much they can soak you for. Yikes!

Ooh, I like Barnes and Noble, thats good. Encouraging my tvchild nephew to read is always a good thing (although he'd probably use his GC at starbucks getting chocolate biscotti) and my niece actually likes to read. Good call Ang!!! Thanks!

Yuck, those two sound HORRIBLE. I'd go with the Blockbuster thing, then they can rent GameBoy games with it.....and you don't have to deal with them later on. ICK.
As for the shirt, I'd go with the pique polo, those quilted shoulders are a little odd....
And the three year old....hmmm.....that's a tough age. Does she have a Leappad? They make a Dora book bundle for that...check out amazon.com My First Leappad. Those Leap Frog things are cool.
My favorite store is always Discovery or World of Science, but I'm not sure what they have for kids her age....
