Got an e mail from a friend. He has a buddy in Iraq who is a chopper pilot. One of the lines in his letter said:
"I guess this is a great example of be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. When I was working for Jim, the thoughts of coming over here did seemed better than reporting to him. Come to think of it, it still does."
Your thoughts ?

He really hated his job, or his boss? OR maybe he's just a big old smartass.

Mr Aire was actually looking forward to going to the war to get some time away from his boss. And he's enjoying it, too.
He has 70 use/lose vacation days on top of what he's accruing currently.
His boss took all of Christmas and Thanksgiving allowing Mr Aire no time off at all to visit family or get away. He takes off at least 3-5 days a month leaving Mr Aire to handle his job, Mr Aire's job, and going to school at the same time. Other times, when he was in town, he'd call Mr Aire to handle his meetings because he was playing basketball and it ran too long. Usually giving Mr Aire about 10 minutes prep time for the meeting with the bosses. (And that 10 minutes was drive time)
Funny, you wouldn't think going to war, working 7 days a week 12 hour shifts would actually be a break.

Sounds like Mr. Aire needs to start his own company. The left coast has all sorts of opporunity...look at Dr. Bronners soap fer cryin out loud...

He would love to have his own company. But I think anything here pales to the fub stuff he's getting to do over there.

How about corporate security transport. Gloss black Hummers with a trained executive protection driver?

I think this will call for a phone call at some point. The people who do this make big bucks. There is a school for the Executive Protection part, and a special school for the evasive/anti-abduction driving.
