It's easy to mess with the sleep deprived. I think someone once did a study.

I am eternally sorry kobyj that we hijacked your thread.

We didn't mean to. We'll move it to another thread.

I think Greg's answer is great. I think getting interview practice is excellent.
If you do use it as practice, you can ask your interviewer after what you could have done differently/better. You are far braver than I will ever be!!

I totally concur with airehead's answer.

Is it at all possible to finish your semester and then get a job?

I've considered just finishing out my last semester, but not many positions are open in December. Most school positions open up in the spring. I would still get my degree. It will just take a few extra months.

It also depends on if I get the interviews and if I get offers. It is entirely possible that I won't even get an interview. In that case, the decision is easy.

Considering the job market, I'd say if you get an offer and you like the job, take it, but DEFINITELY go on the interviews if asked to. It's not that much longer to finish your degree and if they'll hire you without having it done, so much the better. You'll have accomplished both things at once, pretty much. You're probably way ahead of a lot of people who can't get hired til they actually HAVE the degree in hand. They both sound like great opportunities, definitely keep us posted if you get interviews and check them out!!

I had a similar situation when I was in my last year of college......and believe me, having job experience already AND a degree makes it a lot easier to move around when the time comes. Often kids right out of school with no experience, depending on your field, of course, are finding it harder to secure jobs post-graduation. You are doing it the smart way, I think.

How about going on the interview and see what they have to offer. You can always turn down the job.

That's also an option. If they are not offering much or if the program doesn't look promising, I could just stay where I am. That thought had also crossed my mind.
But if they really want you, there's a negotiating item in having them pay for your last semester of classes. Don't doubt negotiating a job offer. No different than buying a car, an employer is going to try and get you as cheap as they can.
