Posted: 02/17/05 - 09:55 Post subject: Considering a change up in my training
I've been running 45 MPW or so for the past couple of months (and I ran 2000+ miles in 2004). But, I'm wondering if maybe I could get the same results with the following...
Running ::
1 day of intervals
1 day of tempo work
1 LSD
and 2 days of easy miles
That would put me in the 35 MPW range with 2 day soff from running and free up more energy to devote to the bike. I really feel that if I were able to get faster on the bike, that I'd be able to have a better season overall. I had some decent run splits last year, but it seems that the bike leg was where I was losing time.
