Beat Canada in a nail biter to win the World Hockey Championship. It was a great game - women's hockey gets better every year. Only the second time the US has ever beat our ladies in the final of a major tournament (other time was at the Nagano Olympics). If you've never stopped to watch women's hockey you should check it out - especially if you like the game better when its not interupted by fights (and the US National team is really good too). Who needs the NHL.

When it comes to international hockey Canadians only have enough room in their hearts to hate the Russians.

Hockey without fights? Isn't that like twinkies without the cream filling?

Our area is home to a "Senior" Women's Hockey League. Our friend and neighbor is one of the players. They have an annual tournament for Colon Cancer research (one of the players is a survivor).
Surprisingly there are quite a few of these "senior" women's leagues.
