What ever happened to this band?

dunno

I was listening to an old Mix tape I made about 10 years ago, (because the radio stations around here suck) and Concrete Blonde came on, and I realized how good they were.

Bloodletting was an amazing album.

evidently they are still around.

according to their website, they are still playing shows.

And have a couple of newer albums I haven't heard of.

Name sounds familiar, can't place them at all...did they have hits? Is this before my time? Why don't I know these people?

Go here and listen to Joey.
It seemed to get a lot of airplay.

Nevah listened to much of their material, but I really dig their cover of "Misty Mountain Hop." "Sky is a Poisonous Garden" rawks my face off.

The moon is full-the stars are bright
And the sky is a poisonous garden
Tonight.

I'm really impressed that you know that band. They were a local band out of Toronto in the 90's. I used to love them.

Cowboy Junkies? They went national in America. Best known for "Sweet Jane", i actually prefer their stuff on "Pale Sun, Crescent Moon" and "Lay It Down", plus the song "Misguided Angel"

If you like Joey at all.

You should listen to "The Vampire Song" on Bloodletting.

I got the ways and means
to New Orleans
I'm going down by the river
where it's warm and green.

I'm gonna have a drink
and walk around
I've got alot to thing about,
oh yeah!

Reading the reviews on Amazon really makes we want to get their newer albums. They all have garnered great reviews.

Oh yeah....I remember now. I knew I knew the name, I just couldn't associate a song. I didn't like that song much is probably why...

In some warped warped way, the little bit of that song Amazon plays for you makes me think of "Higher Ground" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. I know, its a stretch....
