Ever get so steamed at a situation that you had to write.
I am contemplating writing a letter to the Medical Director of the ER that I went too. I thought the care and the waiting that I got in the ER itself sucked, in fact they wanted to send me home after my last visit and its only after the ER doctor talked to the cardiologist that they decided to keep me.
I am not sure of how I am going to word it, but I am going to think it through before I send it.
I was very happy with the care I got once I got on to the floor and I plan on sending the nurses there a thank you note.

You could explain what happened and who you felt. I would cc it to the president of the health system too.
You know the response is going to be filled with statistics and how busy they are and how doctors have to make judgements. Though nothing will get resolved at least you will have your complaint on file.

yes. we have been steamed, believe me. and we did write a letter and before we knew it, we had the top dog of the PA State Police in Harrisburg sending troopers to our door, unannounced!!!! needless to say, our letter got some action.
writing letters is good therapy. your voice can be heard--just never know if it will affect any changes but it can not hurt to put it in writing.
speaking from experience......

Do it Cappy. The power of the pen shouldn't be underestimated. If writing skills aren't one of your strong points find a friend or relative who is a good writer and have them proofread it and/or assist you. If it sounds professional and has excellent grammar and spelling it will be taken more seriously. Give 'em hell.

I bought Mrs. Hayes and I some ice cream for Valentine's Day and she didn't like that there weren't enought chunks of peanut butter swirled in it so she sent an e-mail to the company and complained. They sent her back an apology and a coupon for a free pint of ice cream. She told me that the new pint was delicious.

Maybe that's the main reason he's unhappy!
