I think it's very useful for fat people, too.

This action proof to be a win, win situation. This is a true art work, which will be a success story. A very smart and diplomatic answer. It’s really appreciable and general. I like this particular article It gives me an additional input on the information around the world Thanks a lot and keep going with posting such information.

I knew a guy name John Allis, he used to be a top US cyclists back in the 1970's. The guy used to eat a pound of raw hamburger the night before a hard race. While most of us thought he was "weird" he was usually still always there in the mix at the finish.
Once your body has depleted any carbohydrate reserves it digs into fats.
I've never been a big fan of meat-less diets - I tried the vegetarian thing when I was seriously competing and I got run down.
I've heard a lot of people talk about diet as a function of blood-type and I'd like to learn more on that topic.

Thanks for the article. Have you heard that they have invented a formula that once you plug in your age, weight and height it tells you exactly how much carbs you need to take on board prior to running a marathon. Great stuff!

It is indeed important that runners eat enough protein and some fat, but carbohydrate is the main fuel. A lot of runners may also feel sluggish the next day if they eat a steak the night before. A pasta dish with a decent amount of meat (or other complete protein) is the best option. And remember to top up the carbs in the morning. Fat does provide energy when glycogen supplies run out, but it burns slower, so it is good to have carbohydrate to keep you going as long as possible. If you run marathon or longer it is good to train your body to run on other energy sources (fat and protein). Do some long runs after eating little carbohydrates the 24 hours before. Do take some sports drink during the run though, especially the first few times you do it. Your brain needs carbohydrates for energy.

There are three basic stages in your marathon nutrition plan. They are: marathon training nutritional plan, marathon taper nutritional plan and marathon race day plan. Great tips !
