Anybody interested? I'm considering this instead of Indy this year.

PM Kristin if you want details, she used to live there. I think scorch ran it too one year. Columbus is a fun city.

Elkid: I'd consider, except I'm looking for a full marathon. Plus I'm looking for one within a few hours of driving time.
Genie: I'll contact Kristin about it in a few days. I don't know yet if I'll stay in Columbus, or just be there for the day.

Is there a 5K at it too? It's not too far from where I am.

What's the date this year? I'm guessing it is the same day as Indy?

It is the day after Indy. Indy is a Saturday. Columbus is a Sunday
There does not appear to be a 5k.

Just registered. Plan is to drive to Columbus Sunday morning, get my packet, race, and drive home in time for church Sunday night.
This will be a fun weekend.

I did this race in 2001 and had a blast its a great course, and put together really well, if you do decide you will have a good time.
The only downer is the hotel rate in Columbus is a bit excessive but you do get to finish by the Arena.

I am doing the race and I'm not getting a hotel. I'm planning on driving to Columbus the morning of the race and then driving home right afterwards.
I'm excited. This will be a learning experience due to my interesting training the last month or two. I have to hope that my base is still sufficient because I've been doing mostly short training runs.
