So how did everyone's team do?
Georgia Tech played as we have the last 3 years of the Reggie Ball and Chan Gailey era. Play well, but very conservative, score few points and give the other team just enough field to win.
Notre Dame on the other hand took chances. Going for a TD with time running out in the 1st half; going on 4th and 1 to ensure a victory and run out the clock rather than kick the ball back to GT with a little under two minutes remaining.
The big gripe from Tech fans is we have won 7 games now 4 years in a row. Scoring only 10 or 14 points will win a few games but the defense tires out in the big games when the offense doesn't step up to the yardlines. Losing a tough game is not an issue. Someone has to lose. Losing games a team should have won as GT did tonight and against UGA last season is what drives fans up a wall.
Chan Gailey was supposed to turn the offensive play calling over to Pat Nix this year and the first half appeared he did so. But in the second half he was wearing the headset and appeared to be calling the plays. Gailey refused to answer a reporter's question whether he was calling the plays in the 2nd half.
I'm going out for a run now. I have a terrible headache.
Go Jackets! THWG!

Purdue 60 - ISU 35.
From what I listened to on the radio, our defense still needs help. The Special teams needs help also. They had one blocked punt returned for a TD and then the next punt was like a 10 yarder due to a bad snap.
Plus they lost their starting safety. This might be another long season where we lose more close games again. The Purdue faithful are similar to the GT faithful in that they are tired of losing the games at the end.
Boiler Up!

I lost 10 lbs in sweat at the UT-UNT game. Oh, and UT looked pretty good too.
