It was an after Thanksgiving special at Wal-mart.com at $40 (with shipping and tax). Now they seem to be $50 regular price.

Also explains why she drinks 6 gallons of water a day. You'd need it to flush that poison out.

I had that. It broke (probably because I didn't clean it often and we have very hard water). I now have this, and am cleaning it once a month (I love not having a pot to clean or break):
