This should probably be someplace else. Is anyone else in severe, chronic pain? We're at a standstill. Larry is supposed to be getting a big fat well-deserved bonus (he turned a restaurant losing money into one making wuite a bit, AFTER the CPA did his BS accounting). I know ir's BS, as I used to be the controller and never saw the likes of this in my life.

My surgery is contingent upon when we can move.

I am going to a rheumatologist and pain management specialist in about 2 weeks. BUt I hurt. So badly that all I want to do is sleep. But I cannot sleep, because of the pain.

I have the strongest thing that is available before Oxycontin and I am sh$t scared of it. Larry keeps saying that as long as I don't get a buzz from it (which I do not) and take it properly (which I do) that I won't get addicted. The Dr says the same.

Depending on ho much this bonus is, we could be outtie before hurricane season and in Charleston (where he got his hips replaced.) If it is suck, we are here another year. I just started a new job about two months ago.

I just want my life back. I don't trust the Drs down here, and am seriaously considering a lawsuit, since I can no longer flex my right toes after the Surgery in October.

ANy advice would be nice.

I haven't really been sleeping well since December because the pain keeps me awake, and when I DO sleep, I inevitably can't stay in a good position, so I wake up in worse pain, which makes going to bed dreadful.

All I can say is that I was on Oxycodone for a little more than 2 months, and it wasn't relieving my pain enough for my tastes considering that it, too, can be habit forming.

I don't have any advice, just empathy Sad I still don't sleep well. I should be having surgery here fairly soon, and I'm REALLY hoping that it relieves the pain...

I understand the pain. Beauty of my situation is one doctor (who moved away) understood my pain and understood my fears of addiction and prescribed accordingly. The next doc essentially told me to suck it up because pain pills could make my condition (stomach) worse.

I understand your fears of addiction, too, despite what everyone tells me.

I also don't want to be on medication for the rest of my life.

I wish you luck and some solution to your pain.
