got the g/fs staff party coming up. i used to work there, and went to school with both of these twins who like to brag about eeeeeverything.
conversation will go like this:
so did you get a job yet?
do you have a desk?
do you have a name bar?
do you have a phone?
how much do you make?
how many people are you incharge of?
what hours do you work?
all of my answers will be followed up with "my/mine/i " statements and further questions to try to one up me...
it's sad that i have to let them win early in order to shorten the "mine's bigger then yours" battle...  (it's funny because i'm actually winning)
lemme tell ya. lifes a competition to some people.

Make a mental list of 'other' topics you'd like to talk about and go to the party with focus and determination to drive the conversation in ways you'd like. It's simple really, don't let them corner you on the usual crap. Have some jokes ready, antidotals, little quips, anything to keep things going your way. There's no reason to let some braggards have their way. Go get 'em Blue!

no seriously - lol these guys are great.... but i think the whole brother vs brother competition for life has stemmed outwards.
they aren't bad people. but it'd be fun to actually talk about what we do instead of who gets to do more
