Gotta love the Internet!!
Camless webcam:
(walk down hall, turn on computer and coffee pot)
(walk back to bedroom for slippers)
(put Christmas CD in player to enhance shopping mood)
(pour coffee, add creamer and slowly sip warm, steamy goodness)
(point, click and enter credit card #)
(repeat)
(check off purchases and eagerly await appearance of cute UPS guy)
Ahhh.....life is good.
How's everyone else's shopping going??

No one in our lives has any money to play with right now, so It's going to be a homemade christmas.
My giftees are getting
Turkey noodle soup mix in a jar
Busquit mix
Cookies (maybe)
Chocolates
and whatever little trinkets I find.
The only people I am shopping for are my son and Garrett.

Homemade gifts are some of the nicest ones, though....because there's a little bit of you in them. (hopefully not the tip of the finger you cut off making cookies though ) I wish I had more time and talent to do the cool stuff you do! My one friend does cookie mixes in a jar and she changes the ones she makes every year. It's always something to look forward to.
Not having kids of my own means more $$ to spoil other people's kids with! I enjoy that way more about Christmas than worrying about what I am going to get, for sure.

One of John's waitresses at the old property always gave us cookie mix in a jar for Christmas, and it was always one of my most favorite presents. I need to make sure she has our new address.
I really only bought for the kids this year, and that's done and they're all wrapped. I did order most of them through amazon.com, 2 different shipments because I could not find tinker toys when I was ready to buy them (oh they were everywhere BEFORE I was ready to buy them!)
I did print a couple 8x10 pics of the kids for MIL and framed & wrapped those, but she's the only one I really did something for. She's hard to shop for since anything she wants she already has, but she is a grandma and like all grandmas, pics of grandkids are always a big hit. I sent school pics of the kids to aunts & the other grandparents (including mil), but didn't frame them, nor do I really consider them Christmas presents.
We've never been in the financial situation to be able to buy things for the family, and I suppose I need to be making things in the future. This year there is just no time. I feel like I'm really spread thin these days.

For the past four years 85% or more of my holiday shopping was on the internet. But after four months of being tied to the books and workouts, The Kid needs to get out and see the world. So for two weeks it's been shop, Shop, SHOP at the stores to boost the economy. I just have to stop buying all those presents for myself ....

I would do it all from the i-net, if only....
The wifey loves to shop, and I am her driver/pack mule.
I have had a few moments of weakness, when I saw all those dry-fit shirts at sears for like $14.. Merry Christmas to me!
