Chiropractic poll, since I just got back from seeing mine and boy do I feel GREAT!
Do you or don't you....or have you or haven't you in the past, and what did you think? Personally, I couldn't live without mine. This is the only thing that cured several long term pain ailments and since I used to work for him years ago, I know he's not a quack, which I understand that some are. What do you think, peeps?

Never been to one myself. My dad, a staunch "chiros are quacks" person for a long time finally gave in and went to one for back pain. He changed his tune pretty quickly.

I've never been. My parents on the other hand have been seeing one once a week for about the last 25 years.

you don't have an option for those of us who tried it while experiencing severe back discomfort, and were put into a state of herniation as a result of the chiro...

To me, that says it all.

We used to be the best of friends. She was a true mother to me; my mother and I have never gotten along, not from the getgo. But as she gets older she gets crazier. The irritating parts of her personality seem to get more and more magnified as the time goes by, and she's really gone around the bend since January, when my F-I-L died.
She was never intrusive, opinionated, outspoken about my parenting or relationship with Michael, or nosy until a few years ago... and she's much much worse now.
I can see me not standing the very sight of her in about 2 years if this keeps up.
And none of his brothers will even get a job, much less move out and get married... so she'd better watch her step since it looks like I'm gonna be the one changing her bedpan.

I see.
This is definitive proof why one should NOT go to a chiropractor. It makes you degenerate into what LE has described here for us all.

speak for yourself, My chirco is the only reason I am still able to walk. But then again in a few years maybe I will degenerate more so than I already am, at leat I will be a walking madman.

Your self medication technique helps, too.

i saw a chiro once for my neck of all things. it was popping and cracking every time i turned my head
you haven't lived till a chiro takes your head in his hands and yanks it far left and then far right. it was really scary, i mean really scary, but i've never ever had another neck issue. he did this for about 5 visits, once a week. then he started getting weird, so i left. luckily, my neck was fixed.
i'm pretty much on the fence as far as chiros go.

What I originally meant about my mother-in-law going for 21 years was mainly that I don't understand why people go so long if it really helps.
Doesn't going for so long just make you soft, so you "go out" again, and need another adjustment? I never wanted to start that cycle.
