CHICAGO (AP) -- The Chicago Tribune is apologizing for misidentifying a man riding a bicycle as a high-ranking mobster in a photo it ran on the front pages of yesterday's paper.
Chicago Tribune Editor Ann Marie Lipinski says in today's editions that the paper is sorry for the mistake and regrets the error.
The photograph -- taken by a Columbia College student -- identified the man on the bike as missing mob boss Joseph "The Clown"  Lombardo.
But 69-year-old Stanley Swieton says he's the person in picture -- not Lombardo.
Meanwhile, a Park Ridge man who was incorrectly identified as a different high-ranking mobster in another photo that appeared this week in the Tribune filed a lawsuit yesterday against the newspaper.
The Tribune ran a correction yesterday and an article explaining the mistake.

Is it really a good idea to go around taking pictures of mobsters and printing them in the paper? I mean really.
