Shocked um, doesn't that make you an elite runner? I knew you were fast but wow... Thats awesome! I'm not sure I'm cool enough to meet you... Embarassed

Mine is 27322, you know, back with the slow folk.

Nos, that is not an elite number. It is a competitive number. I'm not "racing" at Chicago. Instead, I'm going to be out having fun and will be helping a friend with her first marathon.

The race that I will actually be racing at will be Phoenix.

Coolness does not relate to speed. I have met several FAST people that were NOT cool. I have met several people that were not fast but are very cool. In fact, the guys I run with every morning are in their mid 50's and run 9 minute miles. They happen to be some of the coolest people I know.

*Edited to fix mistakes in my logic earlier.

OMG. Three days! I have participated in 6+ marathons, but yet I'm still a nervous wreck! Maybe it is the fact I'm currently sick. Maybe it is the fact that I'm pacing a girl through her first marathon and therefore she is depending on me to help her. Maybe I'm just nervous about the distance.

AHHH!!

Sorry to Cheryl and Poky. I don't want to make you more nervous. Smile

You stop intimidating them, or I'll pop you with a rubber band when you get to my water stop!

Well, I'm feeling better. The race is going to be great and I'm sure Cheryl and Poky will do great!

Oh, and I'll be sure to carry some rubber bands with me during the race. We could have a rubber band fight at the 22 mile mark. Smile

Good to hear you're doing better. That would be an interesting fight - especially as I'll be at mile 23.
