I'd seriously consider it if there's going to be other people there who aren't running. We Riff Raffers gotta stick together to support our first timers.

Ohh! I can add Poky to the list of near misses that I may get to actually meet!
And Bpdou will be able to be taken off the list of near misses. Yes, bpdou, I was in Indy for the mini. I did the 13.1 run though. |
ummmm.... I missed it. seems the guy I was gonna go with, his wife induced labor on Wednesday. He was gonna go anyway. I politely told him "duuuuddddeee (that's how he talks, figured he'd understand) you need to stay home with your wife and baby..." So I ran the zoo run 5k here instead. But it was a near miss in SPIRIT.

I'm almost definite that if I go, I'm not running. I'm eyeing a race in Iowa on September 25, then the Akron Marathon on the 3rd. Chicago would make three 26 mile or further races in 3 weeks so that's why I'm hesitant. Oh and add Indy in the mix and you have four 26 mile or futher races in 4 weeks.

Doesn't that only go through July?? I'll have my friend call his brother and find out for sure. If they are there, I'm definitely coming out!

Holy crap!! No you are most certainly insane if you run. Ginchy lives there too so if she's not running she'll come hang out (I'll make her!) and comet lives out that way too.....I'll send some PM's and see if we can't rustle up some more Riff Raffers for a partyin' weekend. TreKay's bro in law lives there so maybe we can lure them down for the weekend too!
 I LOVE CHICAGO!!! Maybe I'll come out early and check out a school while I'm there..........

I'm running it and can't wait. I have my hotel reservations and have registered. Our running team is going to do it! After training all summer in TX, running Chicago in Oct. will be fantastic!!

Sweet, Kattz!!! Where are you staying?
Latest word on Blue Man Group....my friend's brother is still in Berlin at the new show they just opened but he'll get back to me when he gets home after Memorial Day. I think Chicago is a year-round show and we can probably get first dibs on priority seats (in NYC they were 6th row center) so if anyone's interested, let me know. I'll be asking again closer to the date once show times are posted for October. This is a great show if you've never seen it--lots of energy and funky music! Might be a nice group activity. no??

But YES, we should twist his arm to come too. I agree with BP, who needs an excuse to go to Chicago? The PA group gets together quite often just because we enjoy each other's company.
