Your FIL is an ass. Your MIL is an over-bearing idiot. Your BIL (I'm assuming the child of the above two) is following quickly in your FIL's footsteps and is a child-ass. And your husband (son of FIL and MIL and brother to BIL) is a spineless twit.
This is not the first time you've mentioned this type of problem with this family. And it won't be the last. The husband is supposed to leave his family and "cleave" to his mate (it's a Biblical reference), and it's so painfully obvious that your husband has done neither.
You want change? Then it's up to you to do something about the whole convoluted, FUBAR situation.

LC and I had talked and written with her up until October or so. Haven't heard anything since (have sent e-mails, text messages, etc., but maybe she's - wisely - not replying).
