in my abs??? I tried to sit up and my abs tied themselves into a knot.
this ever happen to anyone else?

Not there, no - sure it just isn't a cramp, or a pull? I did the latter in high school, and couldn't stand up straight for three days.

I'm ok now, doesn't even hurt. but while i was doing the crunches it started to knot up, and I backed off. when I sat up, bam, felt like the muscles were dancing around each other.

Mine happened later in the day after a difficult morning ab workout, so I'm guessing it was overwork. Any of the other ones could have caused it also I'd guess.

Heck yea !! I've gotten them after a race also. Lots of fun driving home and having to stop almost immediately.
