Just got back last night from Charleston, SC, as well as Winston Salem, NC. It was gorgeous. Spent a ton of time on the Isle of Palms and Mt. Pleasant and other surrounding areas. I was so impressed with how POLITE everyone is there!!! It was a big shocker once we hit the Ohio border again that the difference in manners is so pronounced.
One funny thing...They stop serving alcohol at 12 on Saturdays (because of church the next day) but you you can go to a bar at 10 am on Sundays (ostensibly after church?). And you can't buy wine from a carryout on Sundays but you can get loaded in a bar.....
Anyway, it was awesome running weather too...
