remember this story?? 14 years ago. she is finally coming forward and has written a book. i just read an article on her and she graduated from my high school in suburban Pittsburgh -- two years behind me.
she was left for dead in Central Park, after having lost 3/4 of her blood she remained in a coma for 2 weeks.
she is a suburban homemaker now, two kidlets and near normal physically.

I remember the story. Amazing she survived and appears she's leading a normal life.

You mean the guy that committed the crime? It's all in the article.

I was thinking of a guy that was assaulting women in the park who pretended to be a jogger. Does anyone else remember this or is my memory playing tricks with me?

Did anyone see the dateline or primetime about the Reyes guy's possible guilt? what a crazy case.
I'm sure her book will be fascinating. How interesting to learn after all these years that you have such a close connection to her!

IIRC, the guy was charged and convicted of the crime was given a new trial or released. Not sure if its the same case.
Good to hear she has a mostly normal life now.
