Just because you don't like the topic does not mean you shold lock it!
I htought the job of a mod was tomake sure the board stays clean and ON TOPIC, not to decide what is talked about. Remember that little amendment 1 thingy

You can make that call if it happens - not before.
I have PMed you in the past - but I believe a public discussion about this kind of censorship is probably necessary at this point.

Censoring would be me changing words or posts. No way. I am keeping what people write, right up there.
This is can be tough to moderate sometimes I try to be fair, and feelings get hurt sometimes.

I did not know I was supposed to PM about a matter. I will have to reread the rules.
The fact that the thread was locked before it could be dicussed was disappointing. The topic was interesting and cold have proven to be more interesting with thoughts on the idea, on both sides of the issue.
I appologize if this should have been PM'ed.

Not true,
You are censoring. Not allowing people to comment is censorship.

if you are referring to the minuteman picture. I locked it because I do not want people making fun of others. this is not the forum for that. If you or anyothers want to make fun, post it in the Hangout.
If that were a fat woman or a minority or someone else, people would be screaming. I am applying my standard fairly in this forum.

The minuteman picture was ridiculous and was not a serious attempt at starting a discussion. Sort of what we've come to expect from the poster.
The thread about Islam and terrorism, although racist, expressed a real point of view in th world today and could have generated some worthwhile discussion.

Since it was my post that got locked up, I don't think it was censorship. I realize that my 1st admendment rights ended the second I "stepped foot" on this privately owned & maintained web site. It's between PH and rtpd113 as to what is appropriate (or not).
P.S. TOsteve - I completely disagree with the racist comment. Please define "racism" for me and we can continue the discussion.
