Nothing of interest. Worked. We moved staff meetings from 7:15 am on Saturday to 9pm on Sunday, which was much better. Not only did everyone actually show up, but the store was actually cleaned that night.

yeah, bog = swamp, bayou-esque to me too
| Quote: | The ancient human remains in The Mysterious Bog People exhibit provide Carnegie Museum of Natural History visitors a rare opportunity to stand face-to-face with people who lived thousands of years ago. The mysterious Bog People explores the scientific techniques and forensic analysis used to determine the age of the objects found in the bogs of northwestern Europe. The scientific component of the exhibition places it at the leading edge of international archaeological discovery about prehistoric Europe.
The unique environment of a bog is due to peat moss (sphagnum), which is able to store rainwater and make the bogs independent of groundwater. Thanks to these favorable preservation condition, skin, hair, nails and even organs were preserved, as well as horn, wood and even pieces of clothing if they are made of wool, leather or fur. Theses finds enable scientists to open the door to the past, allowing us to greatly increase our understanding of European prehistory. Supported by modern technology such as CT scans, carbon dating and analyses of food remains, a much more detailed picture of the bog bodies is possible than when they were discovered, some over a hundred years ago. |

And thanks for the 'welcome'. It's nice to be here.

I took my kids to see the movie, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
That movie was whack!
I cannot get those darn rabbits out of my head, nor the big lipped characters!

Oh you yankees. A bog is like a swamp. A bayou is more like a canal.

That was a great movie! We saw it a couple of weekends ago.
Husband worked all weekend on the air show--Thunderbirds flew right past our house. As did a B2 which I missed.
I worked a good chunk of Saturday and slept a good chunk of Sunday. Did watch the Plowboys win their game
And today, Mr Aire is recovering from eye surgery.
