The lights are 'retro inspired', is I guess what it's called these days...
Much of the old look with a modern lamp cover.

It looks better than the crap they have on the roads now (the current body style of mustangs). I saw an early model of the '05s about a year ago I guess and it was flat out awesome. This looks like they tried to make it a little more appealing to sorority girls... so therefore the awesomeness has faded.
