The short of it: 5:57, 6:14, 6:31 and 19:17. 4th in AG.
A nice day for a run after tons of rain, a power outage, more rain, etc. Much of the course is on a trail and somehow it wasn't a total mudbogging event - trail was in pretty decent shape.
Mile 1: good downhill in first mile, somewhat congested start, right now I feel like I went out to slowly considering the downhill.
Mile 2: very flat, all on the trail. Felt good and was happy with my pace. One dude I was pretty sure was in my AG was within kicking distance so I did my best to keep him in sight. I've outsprinted him at the end in a couple of other races.
Mile 3: mostly flat, one small uphill grade and a really crappy railroad track crossing. I faded a bit in the 3rd and couldn't quite keep with the guy I had hoped to outkick. Not sure why I faded but I did and it cost me a 3rd in AG. The dude I was trying to hang with took 3rd.
All in all, pretty happy with my time as it's in my top six 5k times. With the injury problems I've dealt with all year, I'll take it.

The self-portrait may have worked to your disadvantage.
Still, one of your top races coming off of injuries - very much the accomplishment! Excellent.

What, no muggings, meltdowns or other mishaps? You're no fun....
Great job though, I thought you'd do well. Let's see how the other two stack up.
