Had a birthday party for my youngest son. 15 yrs old in a couple of days. I made chili successfully, the gf contributed home made bread and a chocolate cake w/chocolate frosting (all from scratch). Man did I pig out. And the kid even went away from his carefully monitored eating plan (for wrestling) to indulge in two pieces of bread and a monster chunk of cake. He's okay though, he put in 7 miles of running and 40 minutes of weightlifting with me supervising over the weekend.

Wow, he's quite the athlete!! VERY cool! (The cake sounds yummers too!)
I-AM-SO-DONE! 2AM this morning I finished the paper from hell....all I have left to do is slides for my talk on Thursday night but that's easy. It's all downhill from here. Thanks for the vicarious fun, all....it helped! (Specially that cake....slurp!)

Friday: Finished 2 finals and a paper and baked
Saturday: watched the ANTM marathon on VH1 and threw a crazy Christmas party
Sunday: the Christmas party eventually ended around a time I might otherwise get up for a long run, then went to the Texans-Colts game (free ticket ) to watch Peyton Manning NOT get his record order chinese with my roommate as we clean the place and rehash all the previous night's events, collapse into bed exhausted.
