Northern 'burbs - try Runners' High in Arlington Heights, or Runner's Edge in Libertyville or Wilmette.

I would also look on a site like runners world. The magazine usually has some good recommendations. Or, if there are any marathon clubs, ask them. I'm sure people will have some good advice.
