Kind of eerie timing as I just found out last night that my Pops may have to go in for open heart surgery on Monday, folks. If you'll remember, he had a skin cancer scare awhile back ago that shook me up abit. This time around is the real deal and I'm so saddened and scared by it all. He's 67 years old and I know his time is coming. I'm just trying to prepare for it. I hope you can find alittle time today to say a quick prayer for my Dad...thank you.

Here's the latest on my Dad everyone. Thanks so much for all your wonderful PMs and kind words! Not out of the woods yet though...
from mom:
"Dad is scheduled for the cath on Wed. (don't know exact time but supposedly around 12:30 p.m.). He has severe blockage on the left side of his heart. Dad's chest has been giving him trouble since we returned from Austrailia."

Hi all, Dad will be going in at 10:30 a.m. on Wed. at Mercy Hospital at 9th and Oakwood. He is scheduled at 12:30. If they find nothing or have to do open heart it will be a 1 hour procedure. If they do angeo, it will be about 1 1/2 hours. He went to the cardiologist this afternoon at 3--returned at 6. The doc was more worried about his kidneys than his heart.
Tomorrow's going to be a very tense day for me...
